Join us this season for wine tastings on the first Wednesday of every month starting in October 2023 and embark on a delightful journey through these exquisite selections.
DUCKHORN – Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley, California Description: The lush and alluring Sauvignon Blanc reveals aromas of lemon verbena, candied pineapple, lime, and summer melon. On the palate, it is silky and mouth-filling, with refreshing acidity framing the tantalizing citrus and tropical fruit flavors while carrying the wine to a long, focused finish.
JANSZ – Sparkling Rose, Tasmania Description: Crafted from the finest blocks of Pinot Noir in our estate vineyard at Pipers River, this is a wine of pure indulgence for both our winemaker and the astute wine drinker. Rare, lauded and made from 100% Tasmanian Pinot Noir, our Vintage Rosé is a complex, elegant and delightful wine.
MONOPOLE – Blanco Seco, Rioja, Spain Description: This charmingly easy-to-drink wine will float anyone’s boat who loves freshness and fruit. 100% Viura aka Macabeo manifests itself in this wine as a less flinty Chablis alternative with notes of fresh citrus, crisp yellow apple, and winter melon. Pairing: Go for fresh! Pair this with coconut curries, scallop crudo, white fish (including fried fish).
MADFISH – Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, Australia Description: Clear and pale straw in color with lovely fresh fruit aromas of guava, pear, and lemon zest tickled with wafts of jasmine florals. The palate shows apple, pear, and passionfruit notes around a key lime citrus background. A bright, juicy wine with heaps of fruit flavor and a zesty acidity.
THREADCOUNT – Red Blend, Rutherford, California Description: Dark cherry red with scarlet red highlights. Complex aromas of black raspberry, milk chocolate, and soft hints of sweet cedar. Bold flavors of boysenberry pie, sugar cookie, and toffee lead to subtle notes of strawberry jam and baking spice. The balanced and complex tannin structure creates a long-lasting enjoyable finish.
CASA MADERO 3V – Red Blend, Valle De Parras, Coahuila, México Description: Cabernet, Merlot, Tempranillo. Red fruits, wild cherry, baking spices, well-balanced, and velvety tannins with an integrated, smooth finish. This is an easy-drinking wine that would pair with a variety of foods from hamburgers to steak, at an afternoon celebration or a formal dinner.
REBELLIOUS – Red Blend, California Description: The wine has aromas of dark cherry and strawberry jam, brown sugar, dark chocolate, and cola with hints of cardamom, black pepper, sandalwood, and licorice. The bright and vibrant entry accentuates flavors of fresh blueberries and allspice that linger into a creamy, rich mid-palate and ends with a luxurious finish.
ALMA NEGRA – Red Blend, Mendoza, Argentina Description: Opaque purple-black center with thick, staining violet tears. Loads and loads of soft, ripe purple fruit, and chocolate. On the palate, blackberry, warm spiced purple plum, Tahitian vanilla, and wildflowers dominate. This Malbec is medium-plus in body, round and dense on the palate, with voluminous layers of pepper and chocolate.
THE EYRIE VINEYARDS ESTATE – Pinot Noir, McMinnville, Oregon Description: Translucent ruby-red. Mineral-tinged black raspberry, cherry, and floral scents are complemented by baking spice and succulent herb flourishes. Bright and energetic on the palate, offering sharply defined red and blue fruit, lavender, and spice cake flavors braced by a spine of smoky minerality
LE CAILLOU – Cotes-du-Rhone, Southern Rhone Valley, France Description: On the nose, we find red berries, blackberry, and violet notes. On the palate, the wine presents a lovely freshness. We find fresh fruit aromas, paired with raspberry and blackcurrant aromas associated with delicate Provence herbs notes.
